I joined Friends Reunited when it first started up and specifically opted-out of receiving any third-party communications. In any event, both the e-mail addresses used by the spammer have only been added by the spammer and are not "legitmate" user e-mail addresses anyway, so FR is a bit of a red herring in my case at least. Well OE never did get back to me; surprise, suprise!

I joined Friends Reunited when it first started up and specifically opted-out of receiving any third-party communications.

In any event, both the e-mail addresses used by the spammer have only been added by the spammer and are not “legitmate” user e-mail addresses anyway, so FR is a bit of a red herring in my case at least.

Friends Reunited also say I did, but has yet to explain how they reconcile this with their privacy policy which says "We, and (where relevant) our credit card processing agents, will not supply your personal data to a third party for commercial exploitation - thus, you can rest assured that we will not sell the lists of our Members' email addresses to a third party".
